The Essential Allergy Update for Primary Care

The British Society for Allergy & Clinical Immunology Primary Care Group (BSACI PCG) and the Primary Care Respiratory Society UK (PCRS-UK) are delighted to host this one day conference, in conjunction with the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) and Education for Health, for all primary care healthcare professionals with an interest in the treatment of allergy and clinical immunology.

What will I learn from the ‘Essential Allergy Update’ Day?

  • Which tests are reliable and when to use (and how to interpret) IgE testing?
  • How to spot which runny noses, rashes, and other complaints are allergic in nature and which are not?
  • Clarity on when and why to refer
The Essential Allergy Update Day developed jointly by PCRS-UK experts in primary care and BSACI experts in allergy, in conjunction with the RCGP and Education for Health, helps to address these issues from a very practical primary care perspective. Using a case study based approach, well recognised/world class experts will take us through the pertinent issues on food allergies, allergic skin diseases and respiratory related allergy/rhinitis. With sessions chaired by PCRS-UK or RCGP, there will be ample opportunity to raise questions and to get a better understanding of how to deal with these time consuming/tricky conditions in primary care.
