The Ulster Thoracic Society (UTS) are pleased to bring the Northern Ireland Lung Cancer Conference to Belfast this November.
Taking place on the 20th and 21st November at the Harbour Commissioners Office, this meeting will cover the following learning points:
- Impact of demographic change on lung cancer demand
- Potential population health benefits of lung cancer screening in a health system where services are ‘free at the point of care’
- Impact of smoking cessation on lung cancer outcomes
- Significance and management of lung nodules presenting on CT scans
- The likely impact of the introduction of screening on demand for services including thoracic surgery and radiology

Only healthcare professionals, staff representing charities and not-for-profit lung cancer/mesothelioma organisations and healthcare services are eligible to attend the conference. Representatives from commercial organisations who have purchased exhibition space and/or are conference sponsors are also eligible to attend the conference subject to purchase of commercial delegate places
