ABC of D&E is back! This is YDEF's one-stop shop for new D&E registrars, designed to give an overview of common inpatient and outpatient Diabetes and Endocrinology conditions as well as give an introduction to important topics from the specialty training curriculum. The programme and sessions have been designed to be interactive and pitched at the Day 1 D&E registrar level, using feedback from previous courses to influence the course design.
This 2-day residential course will be held 4th and 5th December 2023 at the Nottingham Jubilee Campus conference centre with one night's accommodation and all catering provided. The course is free for specialty trainees to attend but, as with all YDEF courses, a valid DUK membership is needed and a £50 deposit is required (which will be refunded upon completion of the course). Sponsorship will be confirmed in due course.
The course is primarily for hew ST4s so they will be given priority. IMT3s and clinical fellows/trust grade doctors are encouraged to apply and will be allocated spaces as available on a first come-first served basis.
AstraZeneca has provided a sponsorship towards this independent programme. AstraZeneca has had no editorial input into or control over the agenda, content development or choice of speakers, nor opportunity to influence except for the AstraZeneca sponsored symposia presentations.
